How to Restrict Products By Customer Group in Magento 2?
In order to create customer groups and offer exclusive discounts & reward programs, first, you need to get the Magento 2 Customer Group Restrictions Extension.
Once you’ve purchased & install the customer group restrictions extension, you need to follow the below steps to configure it properly in your Magento 2 store.
Step 1. Login to Admin and Access the Configuration
First of all, login to your admin panel and navigate to System > Group Restriction > Configuration.

Step 2. Configure the Extension License
After that, expand the License Configuration section and do the following:

- Enter the serial key that you have received via email at the time of purchase in the Serial Key field.
- Enter the activation key that you have received via email at the time of purchase in the Activation Key field.
Step 3. Enable Group Restrictions
Next, expand the General Configuration section and do the following:

- Select a store in the Select Website field.
- Select YES in the Enable Group Restriction field.
- Select Home Page in the Redirect Forbidden Access To field.
Lastly, click on the Save Config button to finish the process.
Step 4. Access the Group Restriction Manager
Now, we will learn how to add a new Group Restriction Rule.
For this, navigate to System > Group Restriction > Manage Group Restriction and click on the Add New button.

Step 5. Create a New Restriction Rule
Next, write a Title for the new restriction rule, select store view, and customer groups as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 6. Configure Restrict Categories
Now, expand the Restrict Categories section and do the following:

- If you don’t want to restrict any categories to customer groups in your store, then turn Restrict Categories button to NO.
- Select categories that you want to restrict in the Forbidden Categories field.
- Select Use Default option in the Redirect Forbidden Categories Access To field.
Step 7. Configure Restrict Products
After that, expand the Restrict Products section and do the following:

- Select Use Default option in the Redirect Forbidden Product Access To field.
- Tick products that you want to restrict to specific customer groups.
Step 8. Configure Restrict Shipping Methods
Next, scroll down to Restrict Shipping Methods section and do the following:

- Select a shipping method that you want to restrict from the Shipping Methods field.
Step 9. Configure Restrict Payment Methods
Now, expand the Restrict Payment Methods section and do the following:

- Select the payment methods that you want to restrict for specific customer groups from the Payment Methods field.
Step 10. Set Minimum Order Value
Lastly, expand the Minimum Order Value section and do the following:

- Enter the order amount in numeric value to set the minimum order value in the Order Amount field.
- Select YES in the Include Tax to Amount field.
- Write a descriptive text in the Description Message field.
- Select NO in the Validate Each Address Separately in Multi-Address Checkout field.
- Write a multi-address text in the Multi-Address Description Message field.
